It's all about that bass (and some treble)

Bass is usually considered to be the coolest of all instruments. Mainly by the bassists. Recorded with a good DI, a fine bass often sounds perfect as you get it and needs just a little push here and there. And that is why we came up with QuickBass. To give you the quick EQ, quick compression, quick saturation, and fatness in no time. QuickBass is the ultimate bass polisher and finalizer.

QuickBass Key Features

All-in-one bass solution

Using multiple plugins to achieve one goal makes simply no sense. You can experience unwanted interaction between plugins and their extra features (unnecessary for the job) can drain your CPU power. So we decided to put all the tools you need to get the perfect bass sound into one box with as few knobs as possible to find the sweet spot between speed and versatility.

Ready for your technique

No matter what technique you play Quick bass adapts to it. The EQ is internally preset to deliver the best sound for finger or pick styles, and for funky slap technique. Millerize button makes it ready for slap-solo sound treating your mids a special way. Although most of the curve is preset you still have a few EQ knobs to fine-tune. But starting at zero positions is recommended.

Slight to heavy compression

A great compressor is a must-have. It treats the dynamics and colours too. QuickBass lets you blend between Vari-mu, Opto and FET compressor types to give your bass the desired character. How much you want to squeeze is all your choice.

Bigger, fatter

Too thin? That is a common bass problem. QuickBass solves it with its unique one-knob doubler. And it can also generate sub-bass to give you that nice fat bottom that every song needs. It's the bass that makes crowds dance.

Gentle to harsh

There's no amusement without saturation. And QuickBass handles this section with care. Its parallel saturator can deliver anything between "just-a-little" analogue feel and heavy bass distortion only a valve amp could deliver (before there was QuickBass, of course).

Number of presets

QuickBass was developed and tuned with (and by) bassists. It is most likely that you will be able to set up your sound just by dialling one of a huge number of presets prepared by both mixing engineers and bass players like Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree, O.r.k). QuickBass covers all styles from Jazz to Death Metal.

Hassle-free software protection

No iLok, no dongle, or internet access is required for activation. Our software uses license files to activate your software. You can freely use the purchased software on all your computers as long as you are the user.

Realistic 3D yet flexible GUI

The photorealistic graphic user interface of the plugin gives you the feeling you are touching the real hardware. But it easily adapts to your needs. You can always drag the arrow in the bottom right corner to change its size - make it smaller to save valuable screen space, or enlarge it to make it easier to use.

FREE 15-Day unlimited trial

All the descriptions are nothing compared to putting your hands on the plugin. No saving limits. No noises. No boundaries. Engage the plugin in your project for real and fully exploit its powers for two weeks.

Second-hand edition for FREE

Even partly broken machines can serve well in many studios. Although their functionality can be limited to just one feature, they may give your records something extra. After the trial period expires, the plugin continues working with limited access to several features.

64-bit audio quality at ANY sampling rate

The plugin provides the maximum audio quality you can get. It uses internal 64-bit audio processing and can handle any sampling rate. 192 kHz or even higher.

Smart bypass

The intelligent way our plugins manage bypassing ensures that you don't get any clicks or harmful noises when automating the parameter. It also compensates for latency, ensuring that the bypass states are perfectly in sync with each other.

Intelligent sleep on silence

This plugin intelligently detects whether it makes sense to perform processing at all. If not, it temporarily turns on sleep mode. In such a state, it requires virtually no CPU at all to save the computing sources for other processes.

Free-for-life updates

Our plugins never become obsolete. We keep track of the current operating systems and DAWs. You may always update to the most recent version for free, without paying a cent, a penny, or whatever currency you prefer.

Quick Bass has immediately become a go-to plug-in for me. It handles multiple tasks in a single, easy to use interface - and performs them surprisingly well. Not only is it brilliant during the mixing stage, but also as a bass DI processor. It quickly gives the takes a sense of roundness, character and definition

After recording, it's good, and sometimes essential, to able to do a little low end sculpting without too much fuss. Quickbass makes this easy and fun - adding just a touch of grit and presence with the saturation control, or the subtle chorus effect of the doubler, which is especially nice on a fretless without being a too full on. The Sub bass control is a good idea too, I'll have to remember not to overuse it! These are all unique features and it's very handy to have them in one plugin along with level controls, some compression and EQ. Plenty of possibilities to add some character and very straightforward to use.

Running an instrument-specific tailored signal path makes a huge amount of sense and QuickBass saves the time and guesswork involved in dialling in mix-appropriate sounds versus with multiple random plug-ins. Signal processing for bass guitar such as drive, compression and EQ and sub exciter all have a raft of parameters that change simultaneously as each dial is manipulated within a single plug-in - The experts have done the fine-tuning leaving us to get on and create. It works great with other instruments too! I select this plugin as default for bass, but it sounds great as an effect when blended into other instrument channels, such as a drum bus!

I’ve been playing around lots with QuickBass, and for the clean tones I think it’s fantastic. Dialing in the subbass function does beautiful things to the low end.

One of the big winners for me. It really helps me to dial bass sound quickly. I love the sub-bass feature which gives really nice round low end.

It works great! Not just on acoustic material but also on synth basses!
